AUTUMN AFTERNOON
Wet leaves fall through the cool October
Another autumn arrives and I feel older
Out of this afternoon, comes another page
Dressing up in costume well-passed middle aged
Trick or treater's laughter, music rising in the sky
Painting pictures with such a youthful eye
Like writing scary stories in the trees
To filter down with the autumn breeze
